The graphic shows the money in US
dollars (millons) spent on books since 1995 to 2005. The money spent
embrace since 0 to 100 US dollars, and the countries analyzed are Germany,
France, Italy and Austria. From that the intention is establish a relation between
money spent on books inside these mentioned countries and how this has
increased or decreased during a period of ten years.
Austria as the first country analyzed, was the country
that spent the fewest dollars on the first years, since 1995 until 2003 in
compares with the other countries. On 1995 the money spent was 30 dollars, then
go up a little till year 1999 catching 40 dollars, to continue, the money
remain steady until 2001. On that year the money spent has increased rapidly
till year 2003 reaching 60 dollars, and finally increase rapidly until year
2005 attaining a little more than 70 dollars.
Following with Italy as the second country, on 1995 started
with 50 dollars until year 1997 when the money improved a few catching around
55 dollars, since last year mentioned the money spent fall a little going back
to 50 dollars. After that since 1999 the money grew until year 2005 catching a
little more than 60 dollars, being low than Austria.
France started with around 55 dollars on year 1995
increasing exponentially until year 2001 with money spent near to 70 dollars,
then the cash increased slightly until year 2005 catching around 78 dollars,
staying above Austria and Italy.
Finally we have Germany has the country who spent the
most money on books, starting with 80 dollars on year 1995, then climbed till
1999 hitting a peak of 90 dollars, then goes down slightly until 2003 with
around 85 dollars, and lastly, line chart rise a little reaching around 95
dollars
As a conclusion these four countries don’t go down of
30 dollars and none of them get to 100 dollars. Germany is on top because maybe
the books are more expensive and the people buy less or the books are
inexpensive and the people buy a lot, and Austria as the country with less
money spent could arrived till 70 dollars on 2005, having a difference of 50.
We could say that reading books it’s a very important way to learn, and the
prices are important for the accessibility.
